    HAPPY HOUR is a series of online or in person meetings for Young Leader ULI members (under 35). We meet in an informal atmosphere to re-connect with familiar friends and make new ULI connections and discuss various issues. Each meeting has a different subject.

     
    The guest of the upcoming Happy Hour will be Robert Sztemberg, Managing Partner of Property Finance at ARC Capital, an independent pan-European institutional real estate investment advisory firm. In his 25-year career, Robert has worked for two German banks and JLL, with a focus on Poland and Russia.

     

    During the meeting, our Guest Speaker will present the experiences acquired during previous economic cycles with a main focus on the crisis years and how they ended - market signals, reactions, stories and results.

     

    Thanks to Robert having experienced several economic downturns, in several countries, which are related to higher interest rates and constrained availability of debt finance the event provides a valuable exposure to current market situation.

     

    Thank you to 7R who will host us on the top floor of Metropolitan with an optional short tour around the office and rooftops.

    Robert Sztemberg

    Managing Partner | Property Finance, ARC Capital Markets

    Robert Sztemberg is the Managing Director of Property Finance at ARC Capital Markets. In his 25-year career, Robert has worked for two German banks and JLL, with a focus on Poland and Russia. From 1999-2012, Robert was a real estate banker at Hamburgische Landesbank / HSH Nordbank based in Hamburg, Warsaw and then Moscow. Between 2012 and 2014, Robert worked for ECE in Warsaw in the retail development sector on major projects in Poznan and Gdansk. From 2015 to 2018, Robert served as the Head of the Representative Office in Warsaw for BerlinHyp, a major German mortgage lender. During his career as a banker, Robert has arranged loans of more than EUR 5 billion on office, retail and logistics properties. He joins ARC Capital Markets after three years at JLL in Warsaw. Robert earned his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences / HTWG in Konstanz, Germany. He is fluent in English, German and Polish.
