Young Leaders' Happy Hour: Investment Market Update
Recap and photos pof YL: Happy Hour on the investment market update.
June 20, 2023
A group of ULI Poland Young Leaders had a great opportunity to visit the construction site of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. We have been shown around the site by the project leader, who has shared interesting insights into the process and uniqueness of this building. MoMA is a long standing city of Warsaw flagship projects with a lot of complexity.
The new Museum building was designed by the New York City-based architecture studio Thomas Phifer and Partners, who together with the Museum team have created many unique design and technological solutions, based on extensive research on Modern Art Museums in other parts of the world.
The four-story building will have a total area of ca. 20,000 sq m (ca. 213,000 sq ft), housing not only exhibition spaces but also educational areas for lectures and workshops, conservation and restoration workshops, a cinema, an auditorium, a café, and a museum shop. The new Museum is scheduled to open in 2024.
The area around the museum, together with other future projects such as a new Theatre, will transform the Central Square in front of the Palace of Culture and create a new environment in the heart of the city. The building sets new benchmarks for design, technology and public use space in Poland.
Thank you to Mikołaj Mundzik from Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and Warbud S.A. for showing us around.
