    PLACES + SPACES is a series of events where we regularly present high-profile, international projects and speakers to inspire and discuss how “best practice” development principles and initiatives can be adapted to deliver positive impacts to the cities. Each Places + Spaces has a different topic.

    The leading theme of our upcoming Places + Spaces event is: “EMERGING LIVING CONCEPTS” and it will take place on 29 February 2024 in KinoGram in Fabryka Norblina in Warsaw.

     We will discuss how the residential market is changing and what it means for the investment market. We will also explore emerging trends around new living concepts and have a closer look at the coliving industry.

    Thomas Beyerle

    Head of Group Research, Catella Real Estate AG

    Prof Dr Thomas Beyerle is Managing Director of Catella Property Valuation GmbH and Head of Group Research for the Catella Group. He holds a professorship at Biberach University of Applied Sciences in the Faculty of Business Administration / Construction and Real Estate. He holds a doctorate and degree in geography and studied geography and business administration at the universities of Stuttgart and Mannheim. Over the past 25 years, he has held several management positions in property companies, including Dresdner Bank, DEGI, Aberdeen Property Investors and IVG Immobilien AG. He is also a speaker at renowned property conferences and the author of numerous articles and textbooks and a lecturer at various European universities, including Danube University Krems. He is an honorary member of gif Gesellschaft für immobilienwirtschaftliche Forschung, of which he was President until April 2022, as well as the ULI Urban Land Institute and ZIA Zentraler Immobilien Ausschuss.     Founder, Art of Co & Director, Co-Liv

    Gui Perdrix is an internationally recognized coliving expert and founder of the coliving incubator and educational center Artof.Co. Gui authored the Art of Coliving book, a best practice manual done by interviewing 200+ coliving organizations, and served as director of Co-Liv from 2020 to 2024.

    Andrei Martin

    PLP Architecture

    Andrei Martin is a partner at PLP Architecture and a founding partner at PLP Labs. Andrei has over 20 years’ experience of residential, commercial, and master planning projects in the UK, China, Europe, USA, and the Middle East. Andrei is a European Living Concepts Product Council member and a senior lecturer at the University of Westminster. He has published, lectured, and exhibited internationally. As a designer, researcher and educator, Andrei is interested in the potential of architecture to transform urban experience and reshape contemporary culture. Andrei’s experience includes a wide range of program types and project scales. He has led the design for The Collective Old Oak, the first large-scale co-living building in world, as well as other numerous alternative residential, mixed-use and mixed-generational hybrid typologies that redefine the architecture of contemporary living and form a strategy for the future of collective urban housing. Andrei is a Romanian/American national living in London. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design.

    Dorota Wysokinska-Kuzdra

    Senior Partner, Colliers Poland sp. z o.o.

    Senior Partner, Corporate Finance & Living Services | CEE, Colliers International Chair of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Poland 2018-2021, Member of ULI Poland Executive Committee, ULI Global Governing Trustee Dorota has over 25 years of property market, finance, and banking experience. In 2018 she joined Colliers and is the Head of Corporate Finance & Living Services - CEE Department, which she has built from scratches and currently she holds position of Senior Partner, advising clients on debt financing, mezzanine financing, raising capital and capital partner acquisition, as well as supporting company acquisition or stock-market listing. Prior to this, Dorota spent 11 years as Senior Partner at Griffin Real Estate, where she was responsible for the Group’s management and investments, including the first mezzanine fund operating in Poland. Before joining Griffin, for over 10 years, she held director positions in the HypoVereinsbank/ UniCredit Group, and in their subsidiaries, being responsible for real estate investment banking and real estate finance. Dorota graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), the University of Cologne, and the University of Duisburg-Essen. Dorota is an active member and a big contributor to the Urban Land Institute – the world’s oldest and largest network of cross-disciplinary real estate experts, with over 45,000 members. From 2018 till 2021 she acted as ULI Poland Chair, now she sits as a member on the ULI Poland Executive Committee. In 2020 she has joined the ULI Europe Executive Committee for a two-year term to oversee activities across the CEE region.

    Marta Karteczka

    NREP Poland Sp. z o. o.

    Marta Karteczka is a Head of Operations, Serviced Living in PL at NREP Over twenty years in the hospitality industry with experience in multi-brand properties, from economy to luxury ones. Took part in the hotel openings (i.e. as a General Manager of Vienna House Mokotow Warsaw – lifestyle property in Warsaw market, Holiday Inn Krakow City Centre) and major rebranding (i.e. Mercure Grand Warsaw). Experienced in introducing and positioning new brands into Polish hospitality market. Managed regional teams for over 8 years. The most complex was a team of 130 members, based in 30 cities throughout Poland. Certified facilitator of the Scandinavian Leadership LOTS®. Experienced in directorial and managerial positions in leading hotels companies such as IHG, Accor Hospitality, Scandic Hotels, Vienna House by Wyndham. Marta joined NREP and its Nelio Concepts platform, in February 2022. In her role she is responsible for operating Noli assets and she assist in new investments enabling further growth of Noli Studios portfolio in Poland.

    Marcin Wyszomierski

    CEO, Proaltum

    Marcin Wyszomierski has 17-years experience in start-ups mainly focusing on customer services, e.g. education, student housing and senior housing. Since 2017 develops a senior housing project. Proaltum is a senior care platform providing services to both german and polish customers, in two locations and under two brands: (erania.de, proaltum.pl). Services offered consist of various formats, from assisted living to nursing care for patients suffering from dementia.
