Emerging Trends in Real Estate CEE Roundtable comprising of senior real estate leaders from the region met on 30 August 2022 to discuss issues that would most impact real estate and business in the coming 12-18 months.
Participants of the discussion perceive current period as the one of major changes and instability. Though the business fundamentals of each CRE sector in Poland remain strong, there is an ongoing business disruption and shortage of money. The business disruption comes from logistic chains’ problems that started during the pandemic and were fueled by war in Ukraine. The shortage of money comes from growing interest rates and foreign investors’ perspective on market stability due to the war. Participants agreed that with energy crisis coming to Europe the economy may be struck, however they see many opportunities arising with accelerated energy transformation.
Thank you to the CEE Roundtable participants!
All conclusions from the discussion will be provided to the Emerging Trends authors for input into the 2023 report.
Special thank you to Maciej Rostropowicz, Consultant at Capital Markets Department of Cushman & Wakefield for taking notes.
Emerging Trends in Real Estate Europe 2023 by PwC and Urban Land Institute will be published online on 3 November 2023.
