ULI Poland ESG Product Council will meet during the upcoming fall edition of the ULI Poland Product Councils Day that will take place on 25 October 2023.

Co-Chairs of the ULI Poland Urban Living Product Council are:
    - ELŻBIETA ROTBLUM, Owner at ESGRE - an ESG Consultancy
    - PIOTR SAWICKI, Board Member at Pracownia SAWAWA, ULI Poland Executive Committee Member

The main theme of the meeting will be:
Eastern bank of Warsaw - a strong case for ESG

On the examples of Global Expo and FSO we will showcase how the concept of ESG can be found in the most industrially-perceived part of Warsaw. Sometimes, a long-term planning - like in the case of FSO and, sometimes, an unexpected situation of a war... can have impact on the places and spaces of our city, and make them more friendly for both, humans as well as the natural environment.

There also will be a lot on G but... you have to hear our speakers yourself.

    Agenda:
    12.00-12.45 lunch
    12.45-15.00 Presentations and discussions
    - Vision for the Resilient District F.S.O. PARKPiotr Sawicki, Board Member, Sawawa
    - Renewing Hope: The Journey from Conference Hall to Humanitarian Oasis for Ukrainian RefugeesKrzysztof Szczęsny, President, Humanitarian Innovation Group

F.S.O. PARK project story is all about Revitalisation - an inclusive, socially focused process, a perfect representation of S (but also E and G) in ESG. We’ll tell you in a nutshell about new ideas for a contemporary new district on Warsaw’s right embankment - responsible, sustainable, resilient, based on education on all levels and for everyone.

Krzysztof’s presentation is a story of an already implemented full-scale S project that came to live because of a war situation in Ukraine. A Global EXPO Exhibition hall was turned into a short, and for some, long-term home, and has been since serving also as a school, cantine, kinergarten, art, job and therapy centre….and the full list of this place functions is to be revealed by Krzysztof. You will be S-inspired.

Please join us and have a chance to take away some invaluable insights from these two amazing cases. Let's discuss if they have a chance to get replicated in other parts of our city and country...

Product Councils play a key role in furthering ULI mission locally and internationally. ULI Poland currently has four Product Councils, each focusing on a specific sector of the real estate industry:

    · ESG PRODUCT COUNCIL (sustainability, circularity, diversity, inclusion)

    · URBAN DESTINATIONS (mixed-use, office, placemaking, community)

    · URBAN LIVING (residential, PRS, coliving, affordability)

    · URBAN SUPPLY CHAIN (retail and logistics)

You can belong only to one of the above Product Councils. The councils meet twice per year to debate issues and discuss trends in a confidential and collaborative environment, as well as undertaking a range of other thought leadership initiatives throughout the rest of the year.

    Krzysztof Szczęsny

    Humanitarian Innovation Group

Since transforming an exposition hall into a Ukrainian refugee center in early 2022, Krzysztof has become a global leader in modern humanitarian aid. Formerly a restaurant entrepreneur and producer of high-profile events, Krzysztof transformed a Global Exposition center in Warsaw, Poland into one of the largest humanitarian aid centers in all of Europe. His coordination, fundraising, and problem-solving efforts have since helped over 65,000 Ukrainian refugees. Together with American partners, Krzysztof cofounded the Humanitarian Innovation Group (formerly Americans for Ukraine) to raise support and awareness for the refugee crisis. Now, HIG is modernizing humanitarian aid through entrepreneurship and resettlement programs in Poland, education centers in Ukraine, and global relocation programs.
