  3. YL Happy Hour

27 October 2020

Virtual Happy Hour is a series of informal Zoom meetings for ULI Young Leaders. We meet virtually at 4 pm once every 4-6 weeks in an informal atmosphere to re-connect with familiar friends and make new ULI connections. Each meeting has a special guest speaker and a different topic.

Thank you to everybody who participated in the Young Leaders Virtual Happy Hour that took place on 27 October 2020.

Our guest was EMIL DOMERACKI, Director at Colliers International, and the topic of URBAN REGENERATION – opportunities and challenges. Thank you for a great presentation and for leading the discussion!

With every meeting, we have more and more participants of this informal, after-hour gathering of ULI Young Leaders! We love it that you join us from so many various places, your desk, your couch, your favourite armchair, your car…  We hear babies, dogs. music… :-)))) This is what Virtual Happy Hours are about! It is a great opportunity to learn and discuss various issues but also to have a laugh and re-connect with familiar friends and make new ULI connections. Already looking forward to the next one…

EMIL DOMERACKI – Director, Investment Services and Land at Colliers International

“The market is not surprised by this, since the supply of available plots hasn’t been keeping up with the demand for the past 3 years. Developers are having considerable difficulties with obtaining investment sites in good locations. This is the case not only in the capital, but also in regional cities. Residential and commercial developers fiercely compete for land. Available, undeveloped plots are incredibly rare, forcing decision makers to search for viable alternatives. Post-industrial sites, often centrally located and with excellent infrastructure, have proven to be excellent opportunities for that very purpose.”
