    With health safety in mind, 2020 ULI Poland Conference went virtual.

    2020 ULI Poland Virtual Conference "CLIMATE. CAPITAL. CITIES. PEOPLE - Has COVID-19 changed the course?" consisted of 5 webinars held over the course of 2,5 weeks. It started on 23 June and continued on Tuesdays and Thursdays through 7 July. Each webinar lasted for one hour, from 3 pm to 4 pm CEST.

    Our international keynote speakers connected remotely to deliver a high-quality e-conference. Its programme was also updated to reflect the topical impact of #COVID19 on the climate, capital, cities and people.

    Jeroen van der Toolen

    Ghelamco Poland

    Jeroen van der Toolen is an acknowledged expert in the field of commercial and residential real estate. Currently the head of Ghelamco in the CEE region. He joined Ghelamco in 2003 as a Managing Director for Poland and 3 years later was appointed Managing Director for CEE. Since 2006 Ghelamco has grown threefold. He brought bold vision and innovative strategy to company’s operations and expanded Ghelamco’s field of activity to new market sectors. As a provider of modern business space Ghelamco reached a position of a market leader with over 1 million square meters delivered up to date, and the value of sold projects exceeding 1.2 billion EUR. Ghelamco nowadays is an unquestionable leader in sustainable development in Poland, with the highest number of BREEAM-certified office schemes, as well as the first certificate at Excellent level for a completed office building and many design and development awards.

    Roelof Opperman

    CogNovum

    Roelof Opperman is a Managing Director on the Real Estate Technology Investment team at Fifth Wall, where he focuses on technology and innovations within the multifamily, office, and hospitality real estate asset classes. Roelof has led Fifth Wall’s investments in Lyric, Eden, Appear Here, Hippo, Industrious, Loggi, Recharge, Lime, and Aurora Solar. Previously, Roelof worked at Norwest Venture Partners, Evercore Partners, Goldman Sachs, and Bridgewater Associates. Roelof is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude, from Emory University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

    Raimund Paetzmann

    VP Corporate Real Estate, Zalando SE

    Raimund Paetzmann is VP Corporate Real Estate at Zalando SE in Berlin and focuses on Logistic, Portfolio Management, Construction & Architecture, New Work, Building Operation as well as all building related employee services like Security Management or Office Management. He joined Zalando in 2017 to drive growth of the Corporate Real Estate business within and outside of Zalando. Previously to joining Zalando he built and led the Amazon EMEA real estate team, which was involved in the strategic network planning and design of the European Fulfillment Network. He built the most advanced e-commerce logistics network in Europe and contributed significantly to the new generation of European Fulfillment Centres. Since June 2018, he has also been Deputy Chairman of the Logistics Real Estate Committee of the German Property Federation.

    Sara Anzinger

    Senior Vice President of Capital Markets, Measurabl

    Sara Anzinger is Measurabl’s Senior Vice President of Capital Markets. Before joining Measurabl, Sara drove the development and implementation of Fitch Ratings' Sustainable Finance initiative in the Americas, and served as Managing Director of Real Estate Debt and Fixed Income at GRESB. Sara has worked for Royal Bank of Canada and PNC Bank and spent much of her career in commercial real estate banking and structured finance. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Rollins

    Søren Olsen

    Partner, Head of Capital Markets, Cushman & Wakefield Polska Sp. z o.o.

    Soren leads the capital markets team and is responsible for providing investment consultancy & advice for investors in the sale and acquisition of commercial properties in office, industrial, retail, hospitality and residential sectors. Soren has 18 years of senior management and real estate experience in Poland. He joined Cushman & Wakefield in September 2011. Prior to that he was Head of Asset Management Poland for Aberdeen Asset Management, managing a €450m office portfolio. During 2002-2008 Soren worked for Bank BPH (Bank Austria Creditanstalt) and BRE Bank (Commerzbank).
