Andrei Ivan is an experienced professional in commercial development and sustainability who joined Skanska Romania team in 2015, as a Project Leader. With over 13 years within the industry, Andrei held different positions related to managing sustainable commercial projects. Since February 2020 he is Sustainability and Innovations Director at Skanska Commercial Development Europe, position in which he contributes even more towards Skanska’s mission to build for a better society. He truly believes in the role his industry has in the development of green cities and a sustainable future. Either he supported the development of the Skanska Group sustainability strategy, contributed to the review of health and safety standards, or he promoted innovations and digital solutions, Andrei has an increased focus on sustainable solutions bringing added value to our customers. The latest years in Skanska gave him a global perspective, being involved in diverse projects with positive impact for communities. With his new role, he continues the good work inside the business unit and takes further the sustainability & innovations projects. Among his objectives is to implement the plan for Skanska’s journey to become carbon neutral. He believes that achieving those targets is possible as a common effort of the team and that is why he appreciates the expertise that every colleague brings on in the ongoing projects. He is a team player and always enjoyed working with diverse teams.

Mateusz Grabiec is an expert specializing in real estate transactions and infrastructure projects as well as administrative law matters, including legislation and public contracting matters. His professional experience includes legal assistance at all stages of real property development and commercialization process in relation to a wide range of real property projects, including office and commercial properties and hospitals. He has also been involved in several infrastructure projects, providing the bidding consortia/concessionaires with trusted guidance regarding public-private partnerships and law on public contracts and concessions. Mateusz has been recommended by Legal 500 EMEA 2020 in Real Estate.

Architect and Director Gideon Maasland (1978, Sliedrecht, the Netherlands) was educated at the Technical University Delft. He has more than 15 years of experience as an architect and joined MVRDV in 2016, where he specialised in the transformation of concepts into buildings. He leads MVRDV’s department for large scale, complex buildings in the Netherlands and abroad. As a Director, Maasland oversees all the projects in his studio. With his hands-on work method, he is directly involved in the construction of multiple projects, making sure that the expectations for a design are maintained until the building is complete. Currently he coordinates different Dutch projects: the construction of Valley, a 75.000 m2 multifunctional building in the business district of Amsterdam, the construction of two Grotius towers, a 61.800 m2 residential project in the Hague, and the transformation of Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, a trade fair of 170.000m2. Besides this, Maasland is working on several projects in Eindhoven, Poland and the UK. Prior to joining MVRDV, Gideon worked at DKV architecten, KCAP and Erick van Egeraat. Billy Grayson is the Executive Director for the Center for Sustainability and Economic Performance at the Urban Land Institute, a nonprofit education and research organization that focuses on land use, real estate and urban development. As Executive Director for the Center for Sustainability, Mr. Grayson manages a team leading programs on climate risk and resilience, health and wellness, and building energy and environmental performance. ULI works with members, community leaders, coalition partners, and other key stakeholders to build awareness around sustainability issues in the built environment, and to provide our members with the tools and resources they need to cost-effectively drive sustainability into their projects and operations. Mr. Grayson has over a decade of experience leading energy and sustainability initiatives in real estate, distribution, and supply chain operations. As Sustainability Director at Liberty Property Trust, Mr. Grayson led a 500+ building initiative that included green building construction, energy efficiency retrofits, and sustainability-focused property management strategies and tenant engagement. As Vice President, Social and Environmental Sustainability for the Electronics Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC), Mr. Grayson led a global compliance program working with the electronics supply chain to identify and mitigate environmental and human rights risks in their shared supply chain, as well as programs addressing climate change mitigation. As Sustainability Director at WESCO, Mr. Grayson developed an operational sustainability program that reduced energy, water, and waste, and launched a global marketing initiative for WESCO’s sustainability-focused energy technology products and services. Mr. Grayson holds an MBA and a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Maryland and a Bachelors in Environment, Economics, and Politics (EEP) from Claremont McKenna. He is a LEED AP and former Board member of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council and NAREIT Sustainability Advisory Committee.
